Description
Hours: 7a - 7p with an every third weekend rotation
The Admin Tech/Phlebotomist performs unit-based reception, clerical, and medical record functions.
Responsibilities:
- Is customer oriented and able to communicate with all levels of staff, patients and their families.
- Serves as liaison between patient care units and all other departments.
- Assists patients with activities of daily living.
- Performs duties and responsibilities that fall into their standards of performance and assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum experience must encompass (1) of the following:
- Current Student in a relevant field of study, Medical Assistant, Paramedic, EMT-B, or CNA
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Healthcare/Basic medical terminology.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both
verbally and in writing. - Ability to assess and determine situations requiring an interpreter
and to use interpreter services effectively. - Excellent customer service skills.
Preferred:
- Additional languages preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
