The salary range for this position is $41.90 - $56.56 (Hourly Rate).

Placement within the salary range is dependent on several factors such as relevant work experience and internal equity. For positions represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range is guided by the rules outlined in the collective bargaining agreement.

Description

The Manager Clinical Practice, Health Network reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.  The Manager Clinical Practice, Health Network leads integration and ongoing support of clinical workflows and related projects, oversees all aspects of clinical operational training and education, and participates in operational strategy and project development with the Health Network leadership from the execution phase through project closure.  The position supports the use of best practices to achieve high performance outcomes for clinical operations. Participates in development and implementation of organizational education, training and professional development programs. Supervises, develops and mentors the Health Network clinical staff in daily activities.  

Responsibilities:

  • Assists the Director of Clinical Operations in the assessment, development and implementation of standard clinical operations for all medical group practice operations.
  • Recruits, hires, orients, trains and manages Clinical Practice Nurse Leader staff.
  • Act as the clinical subject matter expert for new practice on-boarding.  Coordinates on-boarding support for new practices and/or new practice leadership.
  • Participates in annual budgeting activities related to the Clinical Practice budget. Monitors and manages expenses related to Clinical Practice activities.
  • Facilitate the Health Network nursing leadership monthly meetings including scheduling, agenda setting, content creation and coordination of speakers.
  • Collaborates with the Health Network and system partners to support and optimize clinical efficiencies.
  • Participates in the development, review, approval and implementation of policies, procedures, guidelines and protocols for inclusion in medical group.
  • Provides oversight in the design, development, implementation and evaluation of training and educational programs for the Health Network
  • Monitors and tracks all training and education schedules and activities. Oversees staff competencies to maintain program quality and integrity.
  • Selects, develops and implements training and education evaluation tools appropriate for the measure of learning outcomes.
  • Seeks and incorporates feedback from the Health Network leadership, clinical staff and other stakeholders on results of learning outcomes and training/education program optimization.
  • Performs periodic review and evaluation of existing programs against internal and external benchmarks and best practices to establish specific targets, timelines and metrics for program optimization.
  • Develops and maintains communication tools related to training and clinical practice activities (emails, newsletters, Corridors etc.).
  • Seeks professional growth and development through seminars, conferences and professional affiliations to maintain knowledge on best practice trends.
  • Advocates and coordinates clinical professional development activities and opportunities for nursing and other clinical support staff across the Health Network
  • Apply knowledge of professional nursing standards, best practices, and interdisciplinary collaboration to advance problem analysis and resolution and creative process redesign.
  • Utilizes standard process improvement methods (lean, DMAIC etc.).

 

Qualifications

Required:

  • Three or more years’ experience as a Clinical Practice Nurse Leader (1,2 or 3) or Master’s degree in Nursing, Education, or another relevant subject
    • If  no master's degree, one is expected to be obtained within three years of being hired
  • Current state of IL RN License
  • Strong functional EPIC knowledge in both clinical and operational applications.
  • 5 years of experience in clinical and operational healthcare environment.
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge and experience with adult education
  • Knowledge and experience with change management principles.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
