Description
The Physician Services Specialist is responsible for the administrative support of the NM Regional Medical Group Physician Services Department. These responsibilities include administrative support for the Manager of Physician Services, Physician Recruiters and Physician Liaison in a time sensitive, highly professional environment.
The Physician Services Specialist will be responsible for the Professional Expense Reimbursement Processing, administrative support of Regional Medical Group Grand Rounds, New Provider Orientation and events.
The Physician Services Specialist will assist in the development, planning and implementation of customer service strategies to support the core objectives of NM Regional Medical Group. This includes support surrounding recruitment, onboarding and service retention of RMG providers.
Responsibilities:
Administrative support for the NHNMG Physician Services department.
Responsible for updating and maintaining the NHNMG NMI microsite.
Processing of Professional Expense Reimbursements (PERP) for physicians and advanced practice providers employed through the medical group. This includes new hire welcome email, providing new hires expense guidelines, processing reimbursements and tracking balance amount. Provide ongoing support and service to all users.
Responsible for the creation of onboarding itinerary information for all physicians and APP providers. This includes identifying training dates and other key onboarding elements/requirements.
Through the NM Provider dashboard and internal NHNMG onboarding tools, create monthly New Provider Orientation attendee list.
Responsible for department supplies, communications and monthly meeting updates.
Manage the NHNMG Physician Services general mailbox.
Facilitate and manage monthly NHNMG Grand Rounds. This includes outlook invite including agenda, securing presentation from speakers, facilitate live streaming of the event and subsequent posting to microsite. Also validating information with CME office to adhere to established guidelines as required for presentation. Responsible for editing the grand rounds recording and maintaining the grand rounds microsite.
Support the click boarding process for new hire physicians.
As needed, support physician recruiter with itinerary site visits, conference room scheduling and other miscellaneous tasks associated with site visits.
Utilizing the NM Peoplesoft system for processing medical staff dues and payment requests.
Assist in NHNMG events planning and other tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Required:
- Associates Degree
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- 3-5 years’ experience in a business office with a strong emphasis on database management and customer service.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Preferred
- Familiarity with Smart Sheet a plus.
- Attention to detail.
- Critical thinking skills to manage tasks appropriately.
- Ability to relate to all levels of the organization such as medical leadership and other hospital executives.
- Previous experience in a healthcare environment, preferably with direct physician contact.
- Ability to prioritize workload independently.
