Description

The  Resource Coordinator Imaging Services  reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

Description:

  • Provides leadership and direction for diagnostic imaging support staff.
  • Coordinates patient flow through the department; resolves various scheduling issues.
  • Maintains status as an administrative user in all diagnostic imaging systems.
  • Serves as a primary point of contact for referring physicians, attending physicians, radiologists, and all other hospital personnel regarding diagnostic imaging systems operation.
  • Represents the department in handling issues, complaints, and grievances, investigating and resolving issues, including those that impact physician and clinician workflow and thereby patient care.
  • Rotating call responsibility for covering support and staffing calls at the twenty-four hour of operation sites.
  • Assists in the direction and control of system activities and operations within radiology.
  • Works closely with financial services to alleviate diagnostic imaging billing problems.
  • Supports quality assurance programs for the department.
  • Provides end-user training, education, and testing of users for all diagnostic imaging system applications.
  • Assists in fixing studies with demographic errors.  Splits/merges images into and out of folders and applications.  Monitors and assists in preparing, fetching, acquisition, and transmission of images as necessary to and from all PACS/RIS related clinical equipment.
  • Assist with the PenRad system.
  • Oversees the daily distribution of the physician reports, distribution of the patient result and reminder letters and follow through on the daily fax error log.
  • Works through the exam list within PenRad to ensure all pending cases are read out to completion.

This position is full-time, 80 hours per pay period, Monday through Friday, evening shift.  Position will require coverage for day shift for PTO coverage.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Associates degree and/or two to three years’ experience with imaging systems in the HIS/RIS/PACS arena.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Previous CT experience required

Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree.
