The salary range for this position is $81.53 - $117.41 (Hourly Rate)

Description

The Director of Operations and Associate Chief Nurse Executive reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

  • The Director of Operations and Associate Chief Nurse Executive will engage in activities to enable the provision of high quality, patient and family centered care at NM.  Under the direction of the Chief Nurse Executive, and in partnership with the medical staff, leadership the Associate Chief Nurse Executive will ensure that progressive and coordinated strategies for the delivery of patient care will be implemented across the organization.  This role will be responsible for the advancement of Nursing‘s Strategic Plan and professional nursing practice at NLFH as delegated by the Chief Nurse Executive and will serve as the Chief Nurse Executive during absence or upon request. The Associate Chief Nurse Executive will maintain operational responsibility for assigned business units and any associated projects.

Responsibilities:

  • The Associate Chief Nurse Executive is responsible for leading teams to outcomes which support the advancement of GAMC, Nursing‘s Strategic Plan and professional nursing practice at NLFH.
  • The Associate Chief Nurse Executive is responsible for the coordination and implementation of unified and innovative models of nursing care.
  • The Associate Chief Nurse Executive is responsible for monitoring and improving nurse sensitive quality outcomes.
  • The Associate Chief Nurse Executive is responsible for the coordination and implementation of strategies that enhance the image of nursing within the profession, organization and community.
  • The Associate Chief Nurse Executive will collaborate with the Human Resources department regarding practices that relate to the Nursing Profession at NMH. 
  • The Associate Chief Nurse Executive is responsible for meeting operational, financial and strategic goals for unit/area or program.
  • In collaboration with the Medical Staff, Leadership, Directors and Managers the Associate Chief Nurse Executive is responsible for ensuring that the voice of nursing is appropriately represented at all levels in the organization.

 

Qualifications

Required

  • Master’s Degree
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Illinois
  • Healthcare management and clinical experiences required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven skills in leadership, planning and quality
  • The Associate CNE shall be qualified by training, experience, interest, and demonstrated current ability, and shall be willing and able to discharge the administrative qualifications of his/her office.
  • The Associate CNE shall possess administrative, interpersonal, and management skills, excellent clinical judgment and quality assessment skills and a working knowledge of trends in health care management, medical staff issues and economics.
