Description

The Facilities Engineer III reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Operates and maintains building mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Power Plant equipment includes high pressure boilers, chillers, and medical air compressors.
  • The goals are to operate the equipment safely, efficiently, and reliably with the minimal occurrences of unscheduled shutdowns. In addition, to provide comfortable condition and safe occupant ambient space.
  • Position has a specialization in electrical, refrigeration, or HVAC systems.
  • Responds to service requests and performs problem assessment, troubleshooting, correction, and documentation.
  • Performs scheduled maintenance and inspections in accordance with organizational and regulatory protocols, policies, and standards.
  • Operates facility equipment and systems on a routine and as needed basis in a safe and efficient manner.
  • May assist contractors/vendors with repairs, maintenance, and construction.
  • May make staff assignments in absence of Manager.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 7 years of relevant building maintenance and repair experience, including high pressure boilers and refrigeration/electrical/automation systems
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid state driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Current auto insurance
  • Licensed as a Stationary Engineer (SE) or equivalent
