The salary range for this position is $17.90 - $26.84 (Hourly Rate)

Description

**This is a full time position at 40 hours per week located at Catherine Gratz Griffin Lake Forest Hospital. This role is a 2nd shift position **

The Resource Coordinator Central Transport reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assesses departmental needs for assigned shift and monitors volume trends to ensure patients are being transported in a safe and timely manner.
• Assist manager in ensuring that all Infection Control guidelines are presented to and practiced by the staff.
• Responsible for running and maintaining key reports through the EPIC software, such as response times, employee productivity, and data for departmental dashboard.
• Assist manager in the creation and maintenance of the employee schedule, addressing both long-term and daily staffing levels to achieve departmental timeliness goals.
• Assists manager in the selection process of new staff members.
• Assists manager in the orientation and ongoing training of all transporters and dispatchers (both new and existing); follows up on performance deficiencies.
• Provides input for staff annual performance reviews.
• Serves in a backup capacity for employee timekeeping and/or reporting (Kronos).
• Identifies and communicates critical situations involving the transport of patients or non-patients in accordance with departmental timeliness goals.
• Transports patients when volumes are heavy.
• Performs Dispatch functions as needed.
• Operates, monitors all aspects of the EPIC software system; including entering requests, adjusting priorities, assignment audits, employee breaks, and appointments for diagnostic testing.
• Other duties as defined.
• This role may support additional projects, perform administrative tasks, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent
• BLS through American Heart Association (within 90 days of employment)

Preferred

• At least 1 year experience with Patient Transport
