Description
Northwestern Medicine has an outstanding opportunity for a Hematologist/Oncologist medical director in the western suburbs of Chicago. Northwestern Health Network Medical Group is seeking a Board-Certified Medical Oncologist.
- Opportunities for program development locally and across the Northwestern Medicine network
- Join a team of five subspecialized medical oncologists in an established Hematology/Oncology Practice, making a meaningful impact in a dynamic and fulfilling environment
- The Cancer center, located at Delnor Hospital in Geneva, IL, has 37 exam rooms and 31 private infusion chairs with on-site Radiation Oncology
- Close collaboration with the opportunity for academic appointment with the Robert H Lurie Cancer Center of Northwestern University
- Access to a robust clinical trials program with on-site research support staff
- Collaboration in the cancer center with surgical oncology, palliative medicine, gynecologic oncology, neuro-oncology and breast surgery.
- Excellent on-site support staff including social work, dieticians, nurse triage, dedicated medical oncology APPs, clinical research personnel, and genetic counselors to assist in comprehensive cancer care
- Outstanding benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401K, and CME fund
- EPIC electronic health record system
- Salary range starting at $435,000-$575,000
Key Responsibilities:
- Administrative and Clinical Leadership: Partner with administrative leaders to set and achieve annual objectives, drive clinical workflow enhancements, and supervise Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to optimize care delivery within the cancer center.
- Patient Experience and Access: Ensure timely patient care and a balanced distribution of patient load, spearhead initiatives to meet performance benchmarks, and develop strategies to improve the overall patient experience.
