The salary range for this position is $44.00 - $59.40 (Hourly Rate).

Placement within the salary range is dependent on several factors such as relevant work experience and internal equity. For positions represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range is guided by the rules outlined in the collective bargaining agreement.

Description

The Project Manager I reflect the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

  • The Project Manager is responsible for leading projects targeted at advancing the goals of the Northwestern Medicine Strategic Plan with an emphasis on institutional level initiatives that integrate people, process and technology. PMs use project management, change management, meeting facilitation, communication skills and other skills in advancing these efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage small to medium scale enterprise project using strong project management and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate all aspects of a project
  • Support and collaborate with other project leaders on integrated initiatives
  • Apply NMHC project management and change management methodologies
  • Demonstrated presentation and written communication skills
  • Apply strong facilitation skills to lead project meetings
  • Has the ability to deal with a changing environment and to lead/facilitate and manage change efficiently and effectively where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with other system functions as required on projects Collaborate with other system functions as required on projects (e.g., IT, Quality, Analytics, Patient Experience, etc.)

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 5 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • Additionally, must have 1-2 years of project management related experience or 3-5 years healthcare administration or clinical experience.
  • Facilitation / presentation skills
  • High level of energy and enthusiasm
  • Flexible/adaptable – ability to work with diverse group of healthcare professionals in a matrix environment
  • Proven software competencies (MS Office Suite, and project management applications)

Preferred:

  • MBA/MHA
  • Specific domain expertise such as EMR, revenue cycle, supply chain, process improvement
  • Project management certifications
