Description
The Project Manager, AMC Planning is responsible for managing and supporting project logistics related to design, construction and activation for the academic medical center.
Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Project Director, provides project support throughout the design, construction and activation processes for the AMC.
- Supports and facilitates advisory committees and user groups related to inpatient, ambulatory, ancillary, and support services.
- Manages tasks such as issue resolution, project documentation, data management and modeling, and project status/dashboards.
- Leads, facilitates, and participates in project meetings with sponsors and stakeholders.
- Works in conjunction with Planning and Construction colleagues to ensure that plans are coordinated across teams/disciplines, supporting the defined future state vision for the campus.
- Supports the identification and resolution of potential risks as well as the implementation of mitigation plans to ensure projects stay on schedule and on budget.
- Documents and reinforces key decisions as needed throughout design, construction, and activation.
- Manages and supports change management as needed.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration or a closely related field.
- A minimum of two (2) years of management experience, may require more depending on the hiring department.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and execute process change throughout an organization is required as is project development and management experience.
- Proven ability to work with members of the leadership team.
- Role may require significant financial and analytic experience depending on the hiring department.
