The salary range for this position is $29.14 - $40.79 (Hourly Rate)

Placement within the salary range is dependent on several factors such as relevant work experience and internal equity. For positions represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range is guided by the rules outlined in the collective bargaining agreement.

Description

The Marketing Specialist reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

The Marketing Specialist is an important individual contributor to Marketing.  They are expected to be collaborative, results driven, organized with a keen attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and deliver flawless execution of their projects. The Marketing Specialist will work with a range of clients within and beyond NM.

Responsibilities:

The Marketing Specialist is an important individual contributor within the Marketing division. They support the manager/team in identified projects that often include multi-tasking various projects with the ability to anticipate and communicate needs of the project with the manager. The Marketing Specialist creates building blocks of NM’s marketing plans and, in doing so, learns fundamentals of strategic marketing.  They are expected to be collaborative, results driven and deliver flawless execution of their projects

The Marketing Specialist supports the manager in the execution of assigned/identified projects:

  • Understands the scope and objectives of assigned projects and delivers against those objectives.
  • Develops key elements of the marketing plan and/or the creation of marketing materials.
  • Supports strong internal client relationships by understanding internal client needs, delivering high quality materials/plans, and effectively managing feedback.

Addendum: X and LinkedIn Management

  • Publish physician-facing content to 6 service line X accounts and 1 LinkedIn page 2-3 times per day.
  • Work closely with the Senior Specialist to ensure content is engaging, on-strategy, and supporting our overall business objectives.
  • Suggest 1-2 paid posts, per service line, each month that get sent to our agency partners.

Addendum: Copywriting

  • Craft post copy for our consumer-facing channels:
    • Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, and Threads
  • Craft post copy for 6 service line, physician-facing channels:
    • 6 X accounts and 1 LinkedIn page
  • When creating designs (ex: infographic), partner with clinical subject matter experts at Northwestern Medicine to appropriately cite clinical information displayed on the creative.
  • Submit all post copy and graphic design copy through internal reviews.

Addendum: Graphic Design

  • Develop turnkey graphics for quick and engaging social media posts across our consumer- and physician-facing channels:
  • Submit all graphic designs through internal reviews.
    • Infographics
    • Quote graphics
    • Instagram stories driving to links
    • Patient takeovers
    • Research spotlights
    • Physician recognition
    • Awards and achievement

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of comparable experience.
  • An additional 2-3 years of experience in related field.
  • Must have exceptional interpersonal skills with a proactive and constructive attitude.

Preferred:

  • Understanding of healthcare industry and academic medical centers preferred.
  • Agency or client-side healthcare marketing experience/internship.
  • Undergraduate degree in Marketing or related field.
