The salary range for this position is $34.50 - $55.20 (Hourly Rate)

Placement within the salary range is dependent on several factors such as relevant work experience and internal equity. For positions represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range is guided by the rules outlined in the collective bargaining agreement.

Description

The Lead Nurse Clinician reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize nursing skills to perform patient assessments via phone or in person and implement nursing interventions.
  • Responsible for initiating & organizing patient education for the population this department serves.
  • Work collaboratively with the general practice team in managing clinical operations.
  • Provide clinical supervision to assigned inpatient clinicians and program interns.
  • Work to ensure that all required documentation is completed in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide orientation to new clinicians.
  • Assist in data gathering and interpretation of established monthly quality measures and assist in the development and implementation of new quality improvement projects as needed.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, physicians, management, staff and other customers.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills, including the ability to use appropriate judgment, independent thinking and creativity when resolving customer issues.
  • Ability to effectively handle challenging situations.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in public speaking.
  • Ability to use personal computers and select software applications.
  • Ability to analyze data for decision making purposes.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Outlook and database entry.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in work environment, delays or unexpected events.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and monitors own work for accuracy.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Registered Professional Nurse Licensure by the State of Illinois.
  • Certification in CPR.

Preferred:

  • Minimum of three years of experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
