The Director, Operations and ACNE reflects the mission, vision, and values of NMHC, adheres to the organizations Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

The Associate Chief Nurse Executive is responsible for leading teams to outcomes which support the advancement of GAMC, Nursings Strategic Plan and professional nursing practice at Central DuPage Hospital. This role is responsible for the coordination and implementation of unified and innovative models of nursing care and monitoring and improving nurse sensitive quality outcomes.

The Associate Chief Nurse Executive is responsible for the coordination and implementation of strategies that enhance the image of nursing within the profession, organization and community. This individual will collaborate with the Human Resources department regarding practices that relate to the Nursing Profession at NMH.

The Associate Chief Nurse Executive is responsible for meeting operational, financial and strategic goals for unit/area or program. In collaboration with the Medical Staff, Leadership, Directors, and Managers, this role is responsible for ensuring that the voice of nursing is appropriately represented at all levels in the organization. This position will perform other duties as assigned.




  • Master's degree.
  • Healthcare management and clinical experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven skills in leadership, planning and quality.
  • The Associate CNE shall be qualified by training, experience, interest, and demonstrated current ability, and shall be willing and able to discharge the administrative qualifications of his/her office.
  • The Associate CNE shall possess administrative, interpersonal, and management skills, excellent clinical judgment and quality assessment skills and a working knowledge of trends in health care management, medical staff issues and economics.
  • Currently licensed as a professional registered nurse in the State of Illinois.
