ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Provides clinical staff with an environment that supports their professional practice, health and well-being: Coaches and mentors and develops staff in their professional practice.Advances professional practice through education and certification.Partners with other health professionals and leadership in supporting the patient experience.Collaborates in the development of annual performance evaluations.Collaboratively manages the disciplinary process when appropriate.Quality of Care and Service Management:Collaborates with the NMG Quality team to develop and advance quality initiatives and goals.Develops and implements clinical policies, protocols and quality improvements initiatives.Identifies areas of opportunity, participates and leads DMAIC projects enhance efficiencies. Develops processes and tools to support clinical staff and enhance efficiencies. Ensures that service excellence is delivered and performs service recovery when required.Resolves complex or critical situations involving patients, staff, and customers (complaints, discipline, etc).Attracts, develops, and retains exceptional service providers and provides those individuals with an environment that fosters excellence through continuous learning. Collaborates with Human Resources and other managers to ensure appropriate staffing. Manages the interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of new employees.Advances innovative retention strategies for staff.Schedules staff and allocates resources across hours of operations to maximize patient access and satisfaction, provider productivity and efficiency, staff productivity, cost-savings and operational efficiencies. Reviews and approves automated time reports for accuracy.Customer Focus: Clearly identifies the internal and external customer(s) for their unit or service area and their respective requirements/expectations.Actively seeks methods of concurrent and retrospective feedback from customers, listens to customer feedback and implementssolutions and/or interventions as appropriate.Ensures that patient dignity and confidentiality are maintained at all times.Creative Leadership: Translates organizational vision into a unit or service area vision that engages staff in contributing to and achieving that vision.Coaching and Development: Provides daily, just-in-time feedback to improve performance and self-esteem of staff. Seeks ways to match staff members talents and career interests with organizational opportunities.Lead regular employee meetings and actively attends and participates in manager/supervisor meetings.Continuous Learning: Continually examines ways to improve business relationships with customers, suppliers, community, etc.Seeks and is open to new ideas from a wide range of sources; encourages others to share knowledge and best practices. QUALIFICATIONS:Required: Bachelors degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.Three (3) to five (5) years experience in a relevant role. Registered Professional Nurse license by the State of Illinois. Basic Life Support Certification from an American Heart Association accredited source.Demonstrates personal alignment with NMHCs core values of integrity, excellence, patients first, and teamwork.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to plan, organize, and direct the activities of others. Preferred: Masters degree preferred.Certification in area of specialty or administration.
