Description

The therapist provides outpatient psychiatric treatment services to persons suffering from psychiatric/chemical dependency difficulties and/or their families/significant others.  The therapist must be knowledgeable in areas of assessment, counseling, therapy, relapse prevention, referral and recovery, and will consider the specific needs and behaviors of specific age groups.  The therapist is responsible for establishing a therapeutic alliance with the patient and is considered the patient’s advocate.    

This position is a part-time, 40 hour per pay period position.l  Mon-Wed-Fri  4:30 pm-9:30 pm & Thur 2:00 pm-7:00 pm.

Qualifications

Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work, Clinical Psychology or other related discipline with appropriate current licensure in the State of Illinois.  Three to five years experience in treating patients with psychiatric and substance use problems.  Extensive experience with families and/or individuals in psychiatric/substance use setting dealing with crisis or problematic situations.  CPR Certified.
