Description
Northwestern Medicine has an exciting opportunity for an Audiologist to work in our outpatient audiology clinic. The Audiologist will be working in an ENT clinic to support ENT provider visits, independent hearing visits and hearing aid patients.
Location: Primarily Naperville, but with some rotations to Geneva for maternity leave coverage.
Schedule: M-F, days; no nights/weekends/holidays/on-call
The Audiologist reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities:
- Performs audiological testing and treatment.
- Performs diagnostic testing to assess patient's hearing status and to determine appropriate treatment.
- Develops, documents, implements, and evaluates a plan of care.
- Collaborates with patient care team to integrate and coordinate plan of care.
- Educates patients, caregivers, and family members on treatment options and continuing care.
- Provides or recommends personal and area sound modification devices and strategies, including hearing aids, and alerting devices.
Qualifications
Required:
- Excellent critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent customer service skills
- Master's degree in Audiology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
- State Licensure if required by law
- BLS certification
- No new grads
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience
