Description
Oversee the clinical procurement portfolio and may be assigned to review medical-surgical supplies, pharmaceutical products, medical equipment or purchased services, drive cost reduction initiatives throughout NMHC’s academic medical center. Act as a consultant to and supporting resource for the clinical areas of NMHC. Manages overall medical-surgical product, equipment and services portfolios. Drives organization-wide product and service change, and serves as an internal advocate of NMHC product standardization/utilization initiatives. Coordinates new product introduction, product trials and overall product/service change initiatives on behalf of end users. Develops data from qualitative/quantitative analyses, performs financial analysis, cost benefit analysis, develops methodologies and reporting platforms for product utilization and cost reduction efforts. Tracks identified and implemented cost savings and audits projected utilization and actual spend. Conducts market assessments, RFP and financial negotiations with vendors. Manages presentations, communications and clinical literature research and to support product utilization. Use Excel, Pivot tables, VLOOKUP for data analysis.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Healthcare Management, Nursing or related healthcare fields plus 3 years experience in the job offered or as SC Analyst/Nurse or in nursing/sourcing required. Required: 3 years in academic medical center with Operating Room or nursing experience. Education or experience: Financial analysis and quantitative & qualitative assessment data; Excel: Pivot tables, VLOOKUP; Cost benefit analysis; consulting/group presentation experience.
