Description
The Senior Payroll Specialist reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities:
- Supports payroll services department in various functional payroll areas and processes.
- Audits payroll hours, wages and deductions each payroll.
- Responsible for accurate and timely input and review of garnishment documents and withholding orders including responding to court/agency requests.
- Maintains garnishment documentation according to department standards.
- Provides payroll support to all Northwestern Medicine employees.
- Answers employee questions and concerns via Service Now case management system.
- Provides support and coverage for other team members when needed. Continuously monitors daily duties for efficiency.
- Responsible for completing wage verification documents.
- Processes garnishment refunds to employees.
- Ensures the accuracy of processed garnishment data through review of system generated reports.
Qualifications
Required:
- Associate's degree
- Three to five years of payroll experience
- Skilled in use of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Able to work with other software programs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
- Able to work in a stressful environment with strict deadlines
